Welcome Tamers to the awaited Season renewal and patch launch day! The slight chill in the air has now turned into a full-blown blizzard, and we remember the old glacial times: welcome to Frozen Tales and Patch 1.6!

A new icy season

Baby, it’s cold out there! Frozen Tales will take you back in time to a long lost era when primeval humans and Temtem roamed a bare Archipelago. Prepare to connect with ancestral deities and to walk in old footsteps! As always, this new Season comes with a new Tamer Pass, new Premium and Regular cosmetics, and a new competitive Season.

This one Season, however, as we’ve already addressed, will be the first one in Temtem not to have events. All events were planned as a fun addition for those players who reached endgame and wanted to continue having goals to work towards. Unfortunately, they weren’t the liking of the players and after hearing the feedback of the community we had to make a hard decision as we’re unable to fulfill your expectations.

Please take into consideration that the kind of changes the players asked for would take a long time and unfortunately, the team can’t achieve these changes at this time of development.

However, we haven’t forgotten about the cosmetics the community couldn’t obtain during the Valentamer’s event! We’ll be giving all players the cosmetics for free on Valentine’s Day, stay tuned!

Replays

All competitive PVP matches (friendly PVP, ranked matches, tournaments, and Dojo Wars) will now be stored in the Replays section. There’s nothing you need to do to turn on this feature, as up to 10 replays will be automatically stored. When the limit is reached, the oldest matches will be switched to a newer replay. And if you’d like to keep a match, you can pin it! Other player’s replays can also be watched by searching their username in-game in the Replays section.

While watching a desired replay, players can pause, go forward/backward, or choose a specific turn they want to watch.

As a hands-up, the team has found an issue on Switch regarding replays, and to avoid it, the turn selector is unavailable until the team can fix it, hoping this bug can be fixed for patch 1.6.1.

Found Location

In any caught Temtem’s details screen, now it’s possible to see where it was found by showing the approximate location and exact island. This feature is available for all Tems you own, you don’t need to be the OT or have caught it to see its found location.

The community highly requested this feature as it’s useful information players can use to locate any Temtem species they want to catch or to determine the approximate level of the zone. We think it’s a great tool for new players, but also really useful for existing players!

Nonetheless, there are some cases in which some Temtem will have a different location than what you’d expect. For example, Starters will appear as being part of Deniz, or hatched Tems will have their location in the Breeding Center.

Emote wheel

Are you tired of having to choose 10 emotes between your stack of emotes, holos, and sprays? Well, the team has heard your prayers and in this patch, you’ll now be able to enjoy up to 10 pages with 12 slots each to fill up with your most desired emotes. That’s a total of 120 slots you can use!

You don’t need to follow any steps to get the improved wheel, just enjoy the game and fill those slots!

Balance

There have been many improvements in this patch which we hope the community is happy with. As for general improvements, Stamina has been improved and now Tems will recover three times more than they used to, and some Status Conditions bonuses have been improved.

As for competitive improvements, the team has been listening to the community’s feedback and there are many changes that we hope you like. Some of the changes we’d like to highlight are the new mental type technique Pantom Whiplash, a new effect for Tireless and Welcomer, and Zen Meditation has been removed from Maoala’s movepool.
