Temtem: Showdown – the official FAQ!

You’ve got plenty of questions, and we’ve got plenty of answers. Welcome to Temtem: Showdown’s official FAQ.

  • How much is Temtem: Showdown?
    • Temtem: Showdown is totally free to play, free to own, and with no-ingame purchases. It is 100% free.
  • What can I do on Temtem: Showdown?
    • You can enjoy Temtem’s competitive battling to the fullest, without any grinding and for free! From building a team from scratch and managing your teams, to playing ranked or casual matches against other Tamers, you’ll be able to do any and all sorts of PvP. 
  • How can I link my Temtem base game to Temtem: Showdown?
    • As long as you’re using the same Steam account, the Temtem: Showdown and the Temtem base game accounts will be linked automatically.
    • If you’re using a console account, you can link your base game to your Temtem: Showdown game via cross-progression, like you’d normally link to another platform.
    • After linking, any change you make to your Squads, Tems or character will be shortly reflected in Temtem: Showdown.
  • Can I earn rewards in Temtem: Showdown?
    • You’ll earn rewards while playing Temtem: Showdown, but you won’t have any use for them yet! Temtem: Showdown doesn’t have any purchases of any sort, so no use for Pansuns, Novas or Feathers, BUT the server will store those rewards, so if at some point you get the Temtem base game, all of your stored competitive rewards will be funneled into your base game account, automatically and immediately. Remember that for this you need to use the same Steam account for both Temtem: Showdown and the Temtem base game.
    • If you already have the Temtem base game, and your accounts are linked, you’ll earn competitive rewards from Showdown and they’ll be delivered to your base game account automatically. This includes Daily and Weekly challenge rewards, even Seasonal ones! If you already have the Temtem base game, and your accounts are linked, you’ll earn competitive rewards from Showdown and they’ll be delivered to your base game account automatically. This includes Daily and Weekly challenge rewards, even Seasonal ones! You will also be able to complete Tamer Pass challenges related to PvP through Showdown!
  • Can I participate in the TemCS through Temtem: Showdown?
    • Yes, you can! You’ll be able to use your Showdown teams to take part.
  • Will I be playing on the same server as everyone else?
    • That’s right! You’ll be sharing a server with other players from Temtem: Showdown AND Temtem’s base game all together. We hope you’ll make great friends!
  • What happens if I get the Temtem base game after playing on Temtem:Showdown?
    • You’ll be able to start playing the Temtem base game with your character, including looks and name, and with any rewards you might have accumulated during your time playing Showdown.
  • I was banned in Temtem, can I still play this?
    • No, sorry. Both accounts will be linked. If you got caught committing Temtem crimes we don’t want you to commit Temtem: Showdown crimes. You can, however, appeal your ban by contacting support@cremagames.com
  • Will there be updates to Temtem: Showdown? Will there be balance changes? 
    • There will be! Temtem: Showdown will receive the same updates as the Temtem base game. At the end of every Season, which last 4 months, and sometimes along the Season, there are balance changes, greatly influenced by community feedback. So at the very least, you’ll get one update every 4 months.
  • Can I change my character’s looks if I don’t own the Temtem base game?
    • Unfortunately not. Although you’ll be able to choose from a series of preset appearances, you can only alter your character on the Temtem base game.
  • My rival has a shinier, differently-colored Temtem. What’s that and how do I get it?
    • That’s a Luma! They’re the differently colored, rarer version of each Tem. You can look for them in the Temtem base game!
  • I skipped the tutorial, but now I want to watch it!
    • No worries! You can choose to watch the Temtem: Showdown tutorial again in the Settings.
  • I’m totally new and I’m getting my butt kicked. Are there some resources I can check to improve?

USER INFORMATION Who is the party responsible for the processing of personal data? Crema Games, S.L., with Tax ID B86562139 is a Spanish company that is Responsible for the processing with respect to the User's personal data, which are treated as detailed in this Policy, written in Spanish, this being its language of interpretation in case of any dispute. Users are also informed that the data processing carried out by Crema Games, S.L. takes into consideration the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of  April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, hereinafter GDPR, and the Organic Law 3/2018 of December 5 on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights, hereinafter LOPDGDD.   What do we process personal data for and why do we do it? The party Responsible for the processing only processes user data, which it obtains through the website, in a confidential manner and in order to render the services offered, and provided that we have a legitimate right to do so. In particular and as necessary, we process data to:
  • Solve and respond to queries or any type of request made by the User through any of the ways of contact that are made available on the website of the Responsible party, based on the legitimate interest of the Responsible party, Art. 6.1.f GDPR.
  • Respond to requests from players who report errors, based on legitimate interest and in execution of a contract or pre-contract, 6.1.b GDPR.
  • Interact with users interested in the games advertised on the website, based on the legitimate interest of the Responsible party, art. 6.1.f GDPR.
  • Enable you to join the gaming community, such as TEMTEM by linking your request to Discord Inc, a service provider or other providers, which are governed by their own terms and conditions and privacy policies, based on the consent of the data subject, 6.1.a) GDPR.
  • Manage your application and enable your participation in the selection processes that fit your professional profile in case you send us your CV data through the form accessed via a link, for those who wish to join the Crema team or apply for a published vacancy, based on the consent of the data subject, 6.1.a GDPR.
How long will we store personal data? In general, we inform users that their data will be kept for no longer than necessary to maintain the purpose of processing or if there are legal requirements that mandate their custody. When they are no longer necessary for this purpose, they will be deleted with appropriate security measures to ensure the anonymization of the data or their total destruction. In particular, the processing of data relating to your profile as a candidate will be kept for a period of two years, unless you revoke your consent. To whom do we provide processed personal data? Currently, no communication of personal data to third parties is foreseen, except if it is necessary for the development and execution of the purposes of the processing and as a consequence of the contractual relationship we have with our service providers, mainly related to communications, with whom the Responsible party has signed confidentiality and processing manager contracts required by the privacy regulations in force. What are the rights of data subjects? The User's rights are as follows:
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time.
  • Right of access, rectification, portability and deletion of your data, and limitation or opposition to its processing.
  • The right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority (www.aepd.es) if you believe that the processing does not comply with the regulations in force.

However, the user owning the data is responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of their data. The Responsible party guarantees that it has implemented policies and protocols for action and data processing to apply security measures and comply with the requirements established by the GDPR and the LOPDGDD, in order to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, as appropriate, to protect the rights and liberties of Users, who through this policy receive information to exercise their rights.
