Temtem: Swarm – The Prestige System
Hello Tamers!
We’ve already given you a sneak peek at the Prestige System coming in Patch 1.0 during our Spoiler Week back in December, but today we’re diving even deeper into this new feature. It’s not just about the Lumas and Umbras, it’s about the power you unlock for your entire squad!
The Prestige Loop
To recap: once you’ve fully maxed out a Temtem’s Skill Tree, you can reset it to unlock Prestige Level 1. Repeat that process to keep climbing! This loop is a 100% guaranteed, RNG-free way to unlock the Luma and Umbra variations, plus super strong, passive buffs in the game.
Once your Temtem is at Prestige Level 1, their Skill Tree nodes will require Pansuns earned with that Temtem to be unlocked and improved. Show your commitment to your favorite Tems!

Lumas, Umbras, and Beyond
While Lumas are a fan-favorite, we know some of you have a bit of a darker side. The Prestige System is your ticket to unlock these variants:
- Prestige Level 1: Allows you to unlock the shiny Luma version of that Temtem the next time you win a match.
- Prestige Level 2: Allows you to unlock the elusive, “gothic counterpart”, the Umbra version, the next time you win a match.
Once unlocked, you can freely swap between the Regular, Luma, and Umbra skins in the Temtem selection menu.

Passives: The Real Game-Changer
A very exciting part of the Prestige System is the introduction of Individual and Global Passives. Every time you reach Prestige Level 1 with each Temtem you’re not just powering up one Temtem, you’re elevating your whole roster.
This idea has been suggested and requested by the community often, and we’re very excited to finally bring it to fruition! Now you can push forward with all Tems even if you only want to play your main over and over again.
- Individual Passives: Huge buffs that apply only to that specific Temtem, helping them master their niche and become the best version of themselves.
- Global Passives: Permanent, account-wide buffs that apply to all playable Temtem. Mastering one Temtem makes every other run easier!
A Look at Platypet’s Prestige
Let’s use our favorite water/toxic friend, Platypet, to see how these bonuses scale:
| Prestige Level | Individual Passive (Platypet Only) | Global Passive (All Playable Tems) |
| Level 1 (Luma) | Deal 22% more damage against Frozen or Poisoned enemies. | Poisoned and Frozen Condition Damage is increased by 15%. |
| Level 2 (Umbra) | Deal 24% more damage against Frozen or Poisoned enemies. | – |
| Level 3 | Deal 26% more damage against Frozen or Poisoned enemies. | – |
As you can see, hitting Level 1 provides a huge boost to any Temtem that uses the Frozen and Poisoned status conditions, while Level 2 focuses on turning that specific Platypet into a true powerhouse.

For those who really want to push their Tems further, the maximum Prestige level you can reach with each Temtem is level 10. While the loop requires effort, we believe you’ll go the extra mile for your favorite Tems, and for the entire roster!
We can’t wait to see which Temtem you’ll choose to Prestige first. Will you hunt for your favorite Luma, or strategically unlock Global Passives to build the ultimate team? You’ll be able to start the grind for yourself once Patch 1.0 hits!
Until then, have fun and Temtem up!
