Temtem: Swarm is part of Steam’s Next Fest Demo!

Temtem: Swarm’s demo joins the list of amazing demos by amazing devs that make up Steam Next Fest!
For those unfamiliar with the concept, Next Fest is a celebration of upcoming games that happens three times a year. The one big perk? You have the possibility to try them all through their demos before they launch! Steam Next Fest lasts from October 14th until October 21st.
How could Temtem: Swarm not join this dance? Your feedback during the playtest was super valuable, and we’re eager to see a lot more of you experience our TemCard-based survivor bullet heaven! You’ll also be able to watch some of us at Crema play the game together, all while we talk about its development and bicker with each other.
Some frequently asked questions!
Q: Can I play the demo in co-op?
A: Yes! The Demo is playable in online co-op for up to three players, as well as solo. Playing solo doesn’t require an internet connection.
Q: What’s the best way to give feedback or report a bug?
A: Please join our Discord server and look for the Swarm channels to share bug reports and any feedback you might have on the game. We also monitor feedback on Steam, though Discord is our primary channel for communication.
Q: How long will the demo last?
A: At the very least, until October 21st!.
Q: Will my progress be saved into the full version?
A: While we’d like to avoid a reset, since the game is still in development, it is likely that we would need to do it in the future. So, best to play knowing this might happen!
Q: Can I only play on Steam?
A: For now, Steam is the only platform where we’re launching Temtem: Swarm, although we’re not opposed to more platforms in the future. That said, Swarm runs beautifully on the Steam Deck!
Q: How many playable Tems are in the demo? And how do I unlock them?
A: There are four playable Tems in the Demo! You start out with Platypet, and we’ll let you discover the rest without spoilers!
To unlock a new Temtem you must first obtain its egg. Defeating a boss or miniboss in an arena will grant you an egg of an specific typing, so make sure you try out all the arenas! Once you’ve obtained the egg you must play another run, and complete one hatching/capturing event. These events appear on the three-minute mark are adorned with a little egg icon on the screen, so follow that marker if you wanna unlock a new Tem! Once you complete the event, don’t forget to grab the egg! It will break open to reveal your flaming new Tem, which you’ll be able to select as your playable character in the next run you play.
