Welcome to patch 1.0, the patch where we leave Early Access, the patch that unlocks everything, rounds everything up, and allows you to enjoy Temtem: Swarm to the fullest!
Today is also Temtem: Swarm’s launch on PS5! We hope PlayStation 5 players will have a blast playing Swarm, and that Nintendo Switch players can join us very soon!

- Two new playable Temtem: Venx and Chromeon.
- Let’s start with the Neutral cutie with the split evolutionary path! Venx, and by extension Venmet and Vental, can now be playable in Temtem: Swarm.
- Venx has two possible evolutions: a mental one, called Vental, and a Melee one, called Venmet.
- Once Venx levels up enough to evolve, the level-up screen will give you the option to choose whether you want to continue playing with Vental or Venmet. Although they share a trait, theyΒ have very different stats, access to different Technique pools, and a unique Ultimate each.
- You can also choose not to evolve Venx, like with every other playable Tem, by blocking the evolution perk or ignoring it forever (do keep in mind that the evolution slot will always block a Synergy one!)
- Its Trait grants bonuses to their final forms depending on how long you postpone the evolution!
- Let’s start with the Neutral cutie with the split evolutionary path! Venx, and by extension Venmet and Vental, can now be playable in Temtem: Swarm.

- And of course, the Digital marvel that is Chromeon! Enjoy 12 Tems for the price of one!
- Chromeon is a Digital Temtem with the particularity that it has an adaptive second type that can be any elemental type in Temtem: Swarm. Chromeon changes secondary type every time it uses its Ultimate, Torrent.
- Its main type will always be Digital, and the secondary type will be selected at randomΒ after using Torrent. The secondary typing at the beginning of the game is also decided randomly.
- Torrent, the Ultimate, has elemental variants for each elemental type. Some can apply status conditions to enemies, others apply positive buffs to Chromeon. Try them all!
- Chromeon will only be offered Techniques of its current secondary typing at level up. And since it drinks from all elemental types, this gives Chromeon access to all Techniques in the game. Digital Techniques may show up at any level-up since it’s its primary typing.
- Its Trait increases Chromeon’s Damage by 10% for each different elemental type of its equipped techs – including the ultimate.
- And of course, the Digital marvel that is Chromeon! Enjoy 12 Tems for the price of one!

- A new Arena: welcome to The Evershifting Tower!
- This miracle of digital engineering and procedural generation is the final and most challenging Arena so far. Its most notorious characteristic? ItΒ changes from run to run, so neither you nor your Tems will get a moment of peace here!
- Instead of creating a set layout, as we usually do, for The Evershifting Tower we’ve created 150 different tiles, tiles which are then procedurally arranged at the start of every run, making for an immense number of possible layouts.
- And not only the layout: the waves of enemies will also be random every time a new wave spawns, ranging from all available types plus Digital Temtem, which will always be present.
- But there’s more challenge to it! All enemies get one small, medium and big buff to their HP, Damage or Speed at random!
- The Spots in The Evershifting Tower are also randomized, so you might get more Pansun spots or Experience spots depending on the run. The same goes for Glitches and Chest spots.
- The one thing that is not randomized? The three sensational, boostedΒ mini-bosses that give way to the proud, fearsome boss that reigns over the skies and the Evershifting Tower. Good luck against its incredible kit!

- π₯The Prestige System
- This is an entirely new system meant to provide long-term, endgame goals for the enthusiastic Temtem: Swarm players.
- Once youβve fully maxed out a Temtemβs Skill Tree, you can reset it to unlock Prestige Level 1. As you complete the Skill Tree fully again, resetting it will grant you Prestige Level 2, and so on, up until level 10, which is the maximum Prestige Level.
- Every Prestige Level you gain, starting from level 1, will add a passive bonus to that Temtem. It’s different and unique to every Temtem, and it only applies to them. Every time the Prestige level increases, the bonus effects of this personal passive will improve.
- The first Prestige Level will also grant a global passive, meaning it applies to every playable Temtem. Every Tem can provide a different global passive, so make sure to reach Prestige Level 1 on many Tems to power up your entire roster!
- Once your Temtem is at Prestige Level 1 and onwards, it will only gain Pansuns linked to it, meaning Pansuns that can only be used on that Temtem’s Skill Tree.
- Their Skill Tree nodes will only accept Pansuns earned with that Temtem to be unlocked and improved. The amount of Pansuns required to reach each progressive Prestige level will increase, making every step a bit more challenging than the previous one. Give it your best!
- You can reset your Prestige Level to 0 if you want to. Doing so will remove all Prestige levels, return all the linked Pansuns to the player, and reset the Skill Tree nodes to 0. This will also remove the previously earned personal and global passive buffs, but it won’t remove the Luma (and Umbra) versions of the Temtem.
- If you reset your Prestige Level to 0, that Temtem will go back to earning general Pansuns, which can be used on any other Temtem’s Skill Tree (as long as there’s no Prestige Level).
- The Prestige System is also the key to unlock Lumas and Umbras. See below!

- Lumas and UmbrasΒ storm the party!
- Here they are, the coveted color variations of our playable Temtem! These variations don’t affect gameplay, so you can freely choose which version you want to use.
- Reaching Prestige Level 1, and then winning a match with that Temtem will unlock the shiny Luma version of it for you to enjoy!
- Reaching Prestige Level 2,Β and then winning a match with that Temtem will unlock the elusive “gothic counterpart”, the Umbra version.
- Color variations can be chosen from the Temtem selection menu, which you can also access while in a lobby. Once you select an option, it will be saved for following games, so remember to change it before a match if you want to use a different one!
- Once you unlock the first Luma and Umbra version of a Temtem, any of them, enemies will have a chance of spawning Luma or Umbra. All enemies may appear Luma or Umbra, regardless of which Luma/Umbra you have unlocked. The rates for Luma enemies appearing are 0,12%, while the rates for Umbra enemies are 0,08%.
- The Luma and Umbra enemies’ stats will remain unchanged, but they will drop x3 or x6 times the experience they normally would, respectively. As a bonus, Luma enemies will drop an extra Reroll pickup, while Umbra enemies drop an extra Block pickup.
- This applies to all enemies except bosses, mini-bosses, powerful Tems, and the Hazrat from the “Catch the Hazrat” spot.

- The Tempedia has been added:
- All the information about Temtem: Swarm, at the tip of your fingers: the Tempedia is a recollection of all the elements of the game where Tamers can find answers to all their questions.
- It contains information on:
- Techniques: Description, synergy and the Gear required for it, and whether the player has used it or not, and won a match with it or not. These can appear as Locked or Unlocked depending on having completed the associated Kudos, but it will show you which Kudo you need to complete to unlock it.
- Gears: Description, whether the player has used it or not, and won a match with it or not. These can appear as Locked or Unlocked depending on having completed the associated Kudos, but it will show you which Kudo you need to complete to unlock it.
- Glitches (only accessible once the player has picked up a Glitch during a match): Effects of each, and whether the player has used it or not, and won a match with it or not.
- Pickups: Shows a description of each available pickup.
- Arenas: You can see whether the player has completed them or not, the maximum Hacking Level in a successful run, which Temtem defeated the boss, and whether it happened on the maximum Hacking Level possible, and longest time spent in a run on the Arena, for Endless mode and for normal matches. An extra menu can be accessed once the Arena is unlocked to see the primary types in the Arena, better and worse types to use there, and a list of all enemies found in the Arena.
- Tems: divided into two categories, the first one shows the playable Tems and their details, including but not limited to their types, evolutions, Ultimates, Traits, Prestige Levels, matches played and won, best time during a match, and much more. These can appear as Locked or Unlocked depending on whether you have played a match with them.
The second category covers the Temtem enemies and their details, including but not limited to their types, stats, behaviors and movement, maps where they can be found, number defeated by the player, and more. These can appear as Locked or Unlocked, depending on whether you have defeated one Temtem of that species before. - Glossary: Lists all the variables in the game, with their corresponding icons and a description showing what they do. Variables include all the stats, status condition effects, types, and more.
- π₯Match history: Lists the last 10 matches played.
- The Tempedia can be accessed from the Main Menu.

- Crossplay has been added! Enjoy playing with PC and PS5 players for now, and with Nintendo Switch players in the future!
- We’ve added 3 new Hacking modifiers.
- Level up Perks are chosen randomly, although it won’t swap Techniques or Gears once all slots are full.
- Every 15 levels, a random equipped Gear is destroyed.
- Every 15 levels, a random equipped Technique is destroyed, unless you only have one Tech. It won’t delete a Tech if it’s your only damaging Technique equipped.
- The maximum Hacking level has been raised to 15! Give it your best π

- We’ve added 6 new interesting Glitches to make your runs spicier.
- Effective damage deals 60% more damage, but all other damage deals 20% less damage.
- Increases your damage by 100%, but reduces it by 1 for every 100 meters traveled.
- Increases your max HP by 50%, but you lose one random Tech.
- Increases your damage at max HP by 65%, but reduces your max HP by 25%.
- Status conditions can now deal critical damage, but your Armor is reduced by 30%.
- When healing, deal 200% of the heal as damage to all enemies, but your HP recovery is reduced a 100%.
- Rerolls, Blocks and Snoozes have been added as pickup items that can be found in boxes or chests across the map, or as a super rare drop by Luma, Umbra or Powerful Tems. These will only start appearing after you’ve unlocked the Block Skill Tree node for any Temtem.
- We’ve added 218 new Kudos. Enjoy completing them all!
- We’ve added 45 new Steam Achievements.
- We’ve created some new thrillingΒ OST pieces for the new Arena and its boss! The OST is now completed, and you can find it on all streaming platforms.
- Temtem: Swarm now has credits! You’ll be able to see them once you defeat the Evershifting Tower boss for the first time, before you get to the End of Run screen. You can also choose to skip the credits, but that would make our teams sad.
- Once you see them for the first time you can find them in the Main Menu.

- π₯Your Ultimate will instantly recharge after evolution, so you can enjoy your evolution with a bang!
- π₯There’s now a chance to get better health items or Pansun items upon level up, and the Luck stat of your Temtem improves it!
- We’ve made a handful of improvements to improve performance and lower memory consumption.
- When exchanging an equipped Technique for another, the new Tech will be two levels lower than the exchanged one instead of being at Level 1.
- When exchanging an equipped Gear for another, the new Gear will have its level assigned depending on the rarity of the Gears switched.
- Since the maximum Hacking Level has been raised to 15, players will increase
2β 3 steps of the bar after successfully completing a match. - No more Skill Tree caps! Since all Skill Trees can be completed now, all references to the caps have been removed.
- π₯We’ve added a new flair to Kudos sections that are 100% completed.

- We’ve slightly reduced the TemCard size in the Tem Selector menu so that all playable Tems fit and you don’t have to scroll!
- We’ve removed the green and red borders on Techs in the Pause menu, so you can clearly see which Tech you’re hovering over or selecting.
- We’ve addedΒ iconsΒ to some Stats that didn’t have one before.
- We’ve made some improvements and corrections to the UI.

General
- π₯Dash damage now properly escalates with Temtem damage, taking into account any Stat improvement instead of using only the base damage.
- The armor formula has been adjusted:
- There is no longer an armor cap (although for gameplay reasons you cannot reach 100% Armor).
- Every armor point over 99, which used to be the cap, will now be added as 0.003% damage reduction, making it possible to reach 99.99% damage reduction.
- Critical Probability and Critical Damage have been adjusted in all damaging Techniques so all of them have the same values: 5% Critical Probability and 50% Critical Damage. Techniques with set Critical Probabily are exempt from this adjustment.

- Fixed not getting the option for Gears related to Status Conditions after picking up the Tech Rainbow Bomb, even the Gear that synergizes with it.
